While much of our work at the Bamunanika Education Foundation centers on children, we’ve never forgotten the elderly members of our community — the grandparents, widows, and seniors who often carry the heaviest burdens with the least support. Many are raising grandchildren alone, living on little, and going without basic necessities that younger, working families take for granted.

Through our outreach efforts, we’ve delivered essentials like food, clothing, and household supplies directly to elderly residents in Bamunanika and surrounding villages. These aren’t grand gestures — they’re small, practical acts of care for people who have given so much to their families and community over a lifetime.

Supporting our elders isn’t separate from our mission of education — it’s part of the same belief that no one in our community should be left behind. Many of the children we sponsor are being raised by grandparents who have stepped in when no one else could. Caring for those elders is, in its own way, caring for the next generation too.

We’re grateful to every volunteer and donor who has made these visits and deliveries possible, and we’ll continue reaching out to the elderly members of our community who need us most.
